Austin, TX Guide

Workout Spots

Ride Indoor Cycling: My favorite workout of the trip... this indoor cycle studio is unique because their instructors focus more on technique than just cycling. I burned over 430 calories in one session and it left me feeling super accomplished. I rode with an instructor, Mike, that kicked my booty. Highly encouraged!
Soul Cycle: Soul cycle is a must for me because Richmond doesn't have a studio. Less technique and more riding for this class but a much needed soul sesh. I always feel empowered and energized leaving soul cycle.

Breakfast + Smoothies + Coffee

Forthright: This place is straight up heaven. Imagine the thickest slice of toast with a whole avocado mashed on top... then add two perfectly poached eggs. EPIC! A little hard to find but worth the exploring. Also grab the homemade cashew milk over cold brew ice for your trip home.
Juiceland: Smoothie heaven. This place has every superfood and healthy ingredient to add for an extra healthy option. Loved stopping in here to grab a smoothie on-the-go.
Blenders & Bowls: Acai bowls worth swooning over. They don't skimp on the smoothie or the toppings so it's worth it. I also love that they're attached to one of the best yoga spots in town.
Cafe No Se: Say hello to the most beautiful cafe you will ever step foot into. Incredible art lining the walls and stunning wood tables filled with all the creatives of Austin. Really enjoyed my almond latte and avocado toast.
Bennu Coffee: A great place to post-up with a coffee mug to get some work done. Open 24/7 and filled with lots of workers around Austin.

Lunch + Tacos

Flower Child: Just when you thought you fell in love with Austin, you fall in love all over again at this beauty. The vibes and food go hand-in-hand because all you feel is local. Wishing I could relive this place every single day because it was hands-down my favorite lunch location. Try the teriyaki glazed sweet potatoes and you will thank me later.
Torchy's Tacos: "Damn Good Tacos" is right. The best tacos I've ever stuffed my face with. Make sure you check out the secret menu online because those ended up being our favorites. Also, the queso is a MUST.
True Food Kitchen: I actually ended up eating here twice in one day because it's THAT GOOD. For lunch, grab the grain bowl with salmon or shrimp... the teriyaki glazed sweet potatoes are INSANE. As for dinner, their butternut squash pizza rocked my world. Do it!

ATX Cocina: A modern mexican must. The outdoor vibes and view really made this dinner clutch. The outdoor patio sits under a huge tree strung with lights and is perfect for a date night or group outing. The brussel sprouts were one of a kind. Also, the chips and guac are pretty dang good too.
PICNIK: If you visit one place in Austin, this is it. Allergy friendly, local and all natural ingredients plus they use coconut and avocado oil for all their cooking. PICNIK is great for breakfast, lunch and dinner and we ended up going multiple times because it's THAT GOOD. The butter coffee, fried brussels and cashew queso dip were our top picks.
The Odd Duck: An atmosphere that takes me back to family dinner nights around the table. This is a great family style experience where you get to savour each and every bite. All the food is sourced locally from local farmers markets and the menu rotates every week. Be sure to give their desserts a try.

Amy's Ice Creams: Okay, I thought Richmond had good ice cream until I tried this place. Malted Mocha was my sweet tooth choice and it hit the spot. Watch them as they throw your ice cream up into the air before serving... I'm telling the truth.
Voodoo Doughnuts: Richmond has pretty mind blowing doughnut options but when you enter this weird location, your world will be flipped upside down. Imagine sinking your teeth into a cakey doughnut with all your favorite toppings and that's Voodoo for you.
Spun Ice Cream: Nitrogen ice cream you say? The most magical dessert experience ever. The toppings, aka magical glitter, make it even more dreamy.
