Our Top Baby Products

Lots of research, tips from friends & browsing Amazon reviews to make this baby product list happen. These are just our findings but every baby & family is different so do what’s best for you!

There is SO much that goes into having a baby that I don’t know know if anyone can truly prepare you for all of it. I’m really thankful to have friends who recently had babies that were able to point me in the right direction while also having the time to dive deep into baby research over the past 9 months. I’m also extremely grateful to have a support system that gifted us a lot of these products from our registry and beyond.

This is a reminder that every family is different when it comes to choosing their baby products but these are what we hope will work for us!

  • Cleaning supplies:

    • Molly’s Suds laundry detergent - Many regular detergents contain toxins so we switched completely for our entire family to Molly’s Suds and have been loving it so far.

    • Wool dryer balls - Dryer sheets have lots of toxins in them so we’ve purchased these wool dryer balls that save money in the long run and work like a charm.

    • Sanitizing wipes - We switched to all organic products around the house and have loved the smell and quality of these wipes. We also purchased this natural all-purpose cleaner from Puracy which smells SO GOOD.

    • Dishwasher basket - Storage for all your bottle parts in the dishwasher so you don’t have to worry about losing things.

    • Hand sanitizing wipes - Great to keep in your baby backpack or at the hospital before others handle the baby.

    • Hand sanitizer spray - Stocked up on this stuff for all of our diaper caddy and backpacks.

    • Air purifier - After lots of research, this one has kept her room air nice and clean. I also love that it has some white noise to it but not too loud.

  • Newborn clothing:

  • Stroller, carriers & accessories:

    • UPPAVista stroller - This stroller was definitely a bit more on the expensive side but we found that it made sense for the long-term of growing a family because we would be able to add onto the stroller when a new baby comes along. It also had everything we needed for travel, outdoor activities and storage.

    • UPPA carseat - This one goes directly into our stroller but also got very high safety ratings. We also love that it can be strapped into a car without the base for when we are traveling and taking Uber.

    • Activity gym & play mat

    • Stroller fan - This battery operated fan will be clutch on our stroller walks but also for anytime we are hanging outside in the heat. I’ve also heard this is clutch for keeping bugs off the baby.

    • Boba wrap baby carrier - I can’t wait to use this for our weekend farmers market trips and for strolling around town.

    • High Chair - We liked the look of this high chair while it also seemed to be easy to clean and would last a long time.

    • Stroller organizer - This one worked perfectly with our UPPA stroller with room for beverages.

    • Baby swing - I’ve heard this is a crucial item to have for the baby.

    • Car mirror - To keep an eye on the baby while she is faced backwards in the early stages.

  • Organization:

    • Closet organization - I thought this was a genius idea to separate clothes based on their sizing since baby clothes are all over the place.

  • Sleep:

    • Portable white noise machine - Perfect for traveling and moving into different rooms.

    • Hatch baby sound machine & night light - We did a lot of research and found that this sound machine seems to work best when growing with the baby. It’s a great tool to use for toddlers to help them learn how to stay in bed longer in the mornings. It also has tons of different options plus an app for your phone.

    • Flat head baby pillow - To prevent flat head and provide neck support.

    • Halo sleep sack - I’ve heard great things about this sleep sack for when you begin weaning them off swaddles.

    • Baby Bassinet - We plan for the baby to sleep in our room by our bed for the first 3 months or so. This bassinet had great reviews but also had a chic look that we could use for future babies to come.

    • Baby monitor - We decided to go with this one because we didn’t want one that hooked-up to wifi where someone could hack into it. This one had great reviews and seems to go the distance.

    • Pregnancy Pillow - Crucial for my second trimester when I was beyond uncomfortable and not used to sleeping on my side.

    • Pack n’ Play - A must have!

    • Crib sheets - Super soft and affordable.

    • Cool mist humidifier - The best reviewed product online for the best price.

    • Snuggle me organic - A must for newborns!

    • Bed cover for parents - To prevent accidents on the bed from baby or when mama is in recovery.

  • Diaper changing necessities:

    • Diaper backpack - Great reviews on Amazon with lots of spaces for everything you would need when you go out on the town.

    • Diaper pail - This one got all the good reviews from my mama friends.

    • Wipe dispenser - I’ve heard from friends that a wipe warmer is overrated and causes mold on wipes so we stuck with a dispenser that didn’t warm the wipes.

    • Changing pad - We are using this for our changing station in our room for easy access to diaper changes when she’s rooming with us.

    • Diaper rash cream and healing ointment - Big jar for lots of usage.

    • Nuby diaper cream brush - I’ve heard great things about this brush that allows you to apply the diaper rash cream without using your hands. Keeps things clean while making it a quicker application.

  • Breastfeeding & feeding:

    • Spectra S2 breast pump - I used the company called 1 Natural Way to order my breast pump. This company made the process SUPER easy and user friendly. Instead of having to deal with the hassle of ordering it through our OBGYN and hospital, they did all the dirty work for us. The best!

    • Haaka breast pump - I’ve heard SO many great reviews on this product. Breastfeeding women claim this is the biggest savior when it comes to leaking milk from the breast that the baby isn’t feeding on. This breast pump catches all the overflow and you can save it for the baby later.

    • Burp cloths - I love these cute burp clothes that are thick and really soft. Can be used for lots of things.

    • Boppy pillow - Great pricing.

    • Nursing and carseat cover - Found this on Amazon and it was super affordable compared to others I had on my list.

    • Bibs - I love these cute bibs and the company that makes them.

    • Bottle drying rack - Doesn’t take up a ton of space but also drains the water to one area that you can dump at the end of the day.

    • Bottle starting kit - Dr. Browns had the best reviews that I saw online and from friends who recently had babies. We will try a few different bottles in the beginning and stick with what she likes.
